The next Newry Digital Meetup will be on 22nd May 2018 with Martin Naughtan speaking about IoT hot on the heels of the launch of Things Connected at Belfast City Hall on 9th May. Originally from Galway Martin is the organiser of the IoT meetup group in Belfast.
I’m looking forward to hearing Martin’s experiences as I have been dabbling with my own IoT project using a Mkr Fox 1200 board to connect to the Sigfox network. The aim is to send messages every 20 minutes with water quality readings from a turbidity sensor.
The title of Martin’s talk is “Incorporating IoT technology into your project” and he will explain the basics of what the technology is and the technology that is available in Newry. At the end of the presentation, you should have a basic understanding of how to use the technology in your hobby/business project.
